Am I going mad or has the date format changed on the forums? I'm sure it used to give "x/x/x", now it says the "month x/x".

I'm I didn't notice this before.

Nope, you're not going crazy, I see it too.

It must be a compromise so that international and American users can read the format without being confused. I think it's a clever way to get around the whole "mm-dd-yyyy" vs "dd-mm-yyyy" problem.

There was a change made today which enables you to set how you want the date to be displayed from the following options:

monthname day, year (eg, Aug 31, 2000)
day monthname year (eg, 31 Aug 2000)
month/day/year (08/31/2000)
day/month/year (31/08/2000)

To choose which one you want go to your UserCP -> Edit Options -> Date Format.

BTW you are fast, the change was made approximately 4 minutes before you created this thread :eek::eek:.
