date in the 'today' pane...

anyway to turn that off? not sure why i need a giant date in the today pane of the notifications window...when the date is right there above it in the menu (AND in the calendar icon on the dock).

waste of space (at least, on a 13" macbookpro...)...

I agree - a complete waste of valuable space on a small screen. There should be the option to turn it off or at least reduce the size.
