I'm a "late to the party" jailbreaker. I have an iPhone 5 (32 Gb) that I never upgraded past 6.1.2. I jailbroke it about 6 months ago and for the most part, I have been happy that I did that. I'm not a big app person, compared to many, and as such, I don't have many apps installed on the box, either from the App Store or Cydia. I do have a lot of the command line utilities installed though. The primary reason I jailbroke, and hope to stay so, is the ability to have OpenSSH running, and to be able to easily add/remove/pull/modify files. Its awesome to be able to get to the core Mac OS X operating system on my phone and be able to do thing. The problem I have, is the date & time screen (from setting) is continually popping up. Some days this is very frequent. Other days not so much. I can be in the middle of using an application, and the date & time screen will pop up. Some times an incoming call will trigger it. Frequently, when the phone is off (not fully powered down), the date & time screen will turn the phone on. I have a passcode set on the phone, and the date & time screen seem to be able to supersede even that. A couple times, I have gone to bed with a fully charged phone on my night stand, and woke up the next morning to find that my phone turned itself on to the date & time screen some time in the night and that the battery is almost dead. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this and if there is a fix? I would like to stay on ios 6.1.x, but if there is no fix for this, I would rather jump to 7.x + Jailbreak now, vs waiting and get stuck on 8, then waiting for a jailbreak to become available. Thanks for any comments.
