would be nice if we had a buyers guide that showed software specifically by apple, such as iWork and iLife (the premium optionals) with each date for every major release apple has done and the average days between updates, i tried looking around to find an average number of days between updates on iWork for example, but dates seem speradic, ill assume due to iWork 08 early release apple is stepping up their game in this area to compete with office, so would be nice to have a little advice on when is and when is not a good time to buy a copy of iWork, iLife, MSOffice for mac, and some other pro apps by apple, perhaps aperture etc etc..

well, before iLife/iWork '08. It was easy. Apple updated them at MWSF January regularly. But '08 pushed the date back to august. So it's not clear when Apple will update iLife and iWork next.

I'm planning in doing some improvements to the Buyers guide... so I'll see about it.
