One of the things I love about the touch is how details are connected between programs. As in an address in my contacts appears google maps etc. But why doesn't a date in my contacts (eg a birthday) automatically appear in my calender. Clicking on their birthday should bring up the calender day with a birthday event no? Am I missing something here or is this feature not working?

Your right. undeniably so.

The software is capable for it, so why is it not doing it? After all, I bought the January Software Update. So i, along wth many others, have technically shelled out £290 on this thing (16gb). Not acceptable but i'm sure the next update, which Apple will also plan to charge us for, will contain it aswell as copy and paste.

Btw, the money doesn't bother me, it's the way Apple are going about charging us for it.

Since im at work right now and not on a Mac im not sure, but can you import birthdays from contacts into iCal? Then when you sync your iCal to your touch they will be there?
