It would have been a lot funnier if the tempo was faster. It was just too drawn out and made me bored by the end. I think the writing was clever but it just wasn't fast enough to keep my attention.

hahahaha omg that is amazing... truely amazing..

P.S. why doesnt my avatar work!?!?!?! (just got upgraded)

P.S.S. he said u couldnt replace the battery... WRONG WRONG WRONG....right??

Yes, yes it was. I'm sorry you have such a poor sense of humor that you can't laugh at what is obviously a tongue in cheek response to the hype...

Maybe it's just a different sense of humor. I find The Onion, Strangers with Candy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, David Sedaris, and The Soup funny.

Those are some examples that come to the top of my head. What type of stuff do you find funny? I really think there are different types of humor, because I see some movies or TV shows, or like this David Pogue thing that are just kind of "uh huh."

It was cute. I liked the "join the cult" bit.

His voice actually isn't bad and considering they probably spent only a few hours on it, it's a pretty good video.

Can't get better free advertising than that.

I'm sorry to be a cynic--but was this really funny?

I have to say David Pogue's smugness has always gotten to me, but singing showtunes on top of it. Makes me shiver.

I'm with swingerofbirch on this one. I'm no cynic, but this really made me cringe too. I definitely don't think this humour translates to us in UK at least. For the record, Cameront9, just because you don't find something funny doesn't mean you have a poor sense of humour. :)

However, lyrically it was quite clever and the performance was gutsy - no doubt about that.

David Pogue is a total Apple Fanboy. Most of his reviews are biased, but I did seriously like this video.

Good stuff!

Hahahah that was the most amazing video ever. I've watched it like 6 times. My favorite part like some other people mentioned is the static, distorted AT&T hahahaa. :D

QuarterSwede, I am half Swedish and I managed to stay focused throughout the whole song.

I tried to play it but for some reason it wouldnt play.... Damn iphone ... Damn u...

Westport Represent!

Haha... I was kind of amazed at the beginning of the video to recognize a freeway sign on the Merritt Parkway in Westport Connecticut. Obviously David Pogue must live in Westport and work at the New York Times because he not only had a picture of a freeway street sign from there, but he also had Westport CT on Google Maps in his other video... I'm going to sleuth it down and figure out where he lives LOL...

It seems clear to me that there must simply be a difference in people's make-up that determines whether they find material annoying or funny.

This video could be used to torture me.

Yet to some of you all it's simply delightful.

It really makes you think.

Out of curiosity, those of you who find David Pogue funny, do you like Mark Russell? If you don't know who he is, he's this guy who plays the piano while telling political jokes on PBS.

I found his website. http://www.markrussell.net/

These are his most recent jokes:

Michael Bloomberg has switched from being a Republican to an Independent. It's a simple surgical procedure usually done in the doctor's office.

Independent parties have a rich tradition. To learn more, read: "My White House Years" by Ross Perot, or visit the Ralph Nader Presidential Library.

Sen. Trent Lott recently said that talk radio is taking over the country. Is that true? Yes, but only on AM. The music on FM is for people who want to forget about the country.

Congress takes another crack at immigration this week. Apparently, they feel that their 24 percent approval rating isn't low enough.

Do you find those delightful? I really am serious. Because I see things like that sometimes...or like that guy on Comics Unleashed...Byron Allen, his monologue, it makes me wonder...........

That would be Shawn King of Your Mac Life I believe.
Ding ding ding! Give that man a cigar. :)

I thought it was very brave of the sidewalk singers he recruited to take part in this.
Not really - David "cheated". He knew three of the "singers" already (myself, my wife and our friend Loren) and for the others, well...when David Pogue walks up to you and says, "Wanna be in a video for the New York Times?" You tend to want to jump at the chance. :)

Man, that guy who had a bald head looked like Phil Schiller with no hair (which is certainly an improvement over that mullet he used to sport).
LOL First time I've ever been compared to Phil.

if you see us together, here's are a few easy ways to tell us apart:

1) Phil will be the guy with hair

2) Shawn is almost a foot taller than Phil

3) Shawn is about 75lbs heavier than Phil

There...that should help. :)

Clinical Diagnosis = Attention Deficit Disorder, undoubtedly!

Pogue is a genious, I remember his Apple iPod nano review and he was using the thing as a tonge depressor, in the NYTimes no less. I am sorry for those of you who don't get tickled to death by his humor, but I think he is a genius. And a d**n good technology reviewer, too.:)

Now I just want to know why his podcast is so delayed on iTunes?
