I ran the first (of 3) benchmark for DaVinci Resolve.

Every successive export run, ran faster than the previous!

Mac Pro 2019, 24-core, 192GB RAM, 8TB SSD, two Radeon Pro W6800X Duo. Resolve Studio 19 licence
  1. Benchmark A 357 seconds
  2. Benchmark A 306 seconds
  3. Benchmark A 296 seconds (as fast as a Mac Studio M1 Ultra 48 core GPU, see list below)

Can anybody tell me if you still get ‘both’ Resolve Studio AND Fusion Studio when purchasing.
I have emailed support, but they are closed until Monday.
It’s a bit unclear on BMD website, I only want Fusion.

If I add Fusion Studio (through the store tab) it shows delivery in 2-3 days by post…..(does this need a dongle).
But if I add Resolve Studio or Fusion Studio (from the product page) either one shows as Resolve Studio in the cart, and it says license key will be emailed upon purchase.

DaVinci Resolve Studio includes several parts, called pages.
I purchased the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor, because the Resolve Studio is included. Found it to be a great offer.

So yes, the Fusion Studio is included in the Resolve Studio.

... and it says license key will be emailed upon purchase.
The is a digital license key, a one-time license, with future upgrades.
This other a physical Activation Card. Nice to have, also a one-time license, with future upgrades.

Thanks @Regulus67
I particularly want the stand alone Fusion Studio (don’t need the bloat of Resolve).
But from your post I see you get access to both with a license….. 👍

I just got my ‘dongled’ Fusion Studio…. 😁
Does anyone know how to remove the App Store Resolve (free version)…?
Is just a delete of the app?

I presume it can’t be updated to Studio from the App Store, I would need to download from BMD.

I think all you need to do, is run the dongle app and see if there is an uninstaller app, right?

I had the free App Store version, so just deleted the application and re-started.
There weren’t any files in library/preferences-caches etc from BlackMagic or Davinci, so seems good.
My installer is for Fusion, so only has installer/un-installer for Fusion (haven’t tried Resolve Studio yet).

Fusion Studio seems to be working fine…. 😁
Thanks.
