Any users on here?

I've had it for a while and have recently started working my way through the manual.

However, a quick search fails to show that it can import from AVCHD camcorders. It can clone the contents of the camera card to the Mac, but doesn't seem to be able to look down through the file structure to locate the video files.

Can it do this? If not, then I'm wasting my time.

I just tried the latest free version, Resolve 15.2.1 on an iMac Pro, and after import it shows "skimmable" thumbnails for each clip inside the AVCHD package on disk. I just dragged and dropped the AVCHD bundle onto the Resolve media pool pane.

I then deleted all that, then opened a new project in Resolve, within Resolve navigated to the disk folder holding the AVCHD bundle, opened it and the subfolders to the individual MTS files -- and it showed those. Within Resolve I could then drag/drop individual clips from there to the media pool, selectively importing certain clips.
