Any way to have the -dBm signal instead of the bars, tried searching for something in cydia but had no luck. I've seen screen shots with people that had them.

Any ideas?

Come to think about it this can be a workaround to get an idea if you're getting decent signal.
How do you read that number? I get -86 with 4 bars so -100 would be max I guess?

The lower the number, the stronger the signal.

Thought this might be a workaround for the Ultrasn0w bug, but the numeric GSM is stuck at -113 regardless of location.

GSM (at&t at least) is -51 (strongest signal, standing next to tower) to -113 (weakest signal before dropping).

u can do it without jalbreaking, just go into field test mode. once in it lets you switch between the 2, just change it to db by tappin. then just respring using the power button/ home button. ill show u mine:

That's backwards 🙂 , the higher the number, the stronger the signal. Lower number, weaker signal.

Actually, that's correct. The lower the number, the stronger the signal. The higher the number, the weaker the signal.

the number yes..but remember.the number you're seeing is actually negative...so -100 is a higher *number* than -50..but since these are negative numbers, -100 is actually a lower overall number than -500, so -50 is a stronger sinal
