DBRAND fit on 15" tMBP?

I ordered a top and bottom matte black dbrand skin for my 15" tMBP. The top skin seems to be tad small, and I am unsure if this is a manufacturing defect or its suppose to be like that? Has anyone encountered the same issue?

It shouldn't fit right up to the edge of the lid. If it did, it would be prone to catching on things, which would lift up the skin.

A skin SHOULD fit to the edge perfectly.

I don't know about that, when the top part of the lid is flush its perfect
