Hey Guys,
Im thinking of getting a computer pretty soonish for myself as i am very into video editing.
I've had a look at some and my dad has some video editing friends and they have all said that a mac might be a good idea. The trouble is i have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC37E and the manual says the software says it only works with windows:( Is there anyway i could get the software version for a mac?
Please reply
P.S Im not a hugely computer knowledgeable person so couldyou please explain your answers

My nephew had a camera similar to yours. Sony and PC only. We were able to import the footage into iPhoto. From there we "right clicked" on the footage and revealed in "Finder". Once we located the clips we wanted, we then used "MPEG StreamClip" to convert to a Mac friendly version. Its not a complicated process but it does take a little time. Plus, this gets you on a Mac and one day when you decide to upgrade your camera you can get a Mac compatible one.

Or there's always the option to sell your current camera and get one that's compatible...
