Hey guys.

Now that Skylake is out for iMac, I was sad to see Apple is still flying with DDR3.

Any possible spring/summer '16 update to DDR4/TB 3/USB 3.1/USB-C?

Thanks

Maybe but most likely not. Since Apple seems to loathe using 3rd party USB chips, you'll have to wait for Kaby lake which has USB 3.1 natively built into the chipset. That looks like a 2016 Fall refresh at the earliest. I'm going to shoulder my 2012 iMac just a bit longer as I want a proper 16nm GPU that at least is >50% faster than my 680MX, not a hot running 28nm tech we've been using since 2012.
