Or try to plug firewire on both computer (when it's off) and turn 'em on at same time and press "T" I think and you will be able to transfer the files. It might work....

Yes, connect both computers via firewire, and startup your broken eMac and hold t down until you see a firewire logo, and startup your other computer normally. You should see the other computers HDD has an external firewire drive on your desktop.

...of course, this requires you to turn on your broken computer and that may or may not start a fire.
 
Also, it happened to my eMac a while ago. I was pissed that CompUSA didn't do it right for the 5th time! Also, my warranty expired so I'm screwed. Do NOT, I repeat: DO NOT go to Altomonte Spring, Orlando, FL compusa store, they have terrible mac repair guy! I swear. He is doing harm than good. :mad:

I would've sued CompUSA for this...
