I am probably going to have to buy a new phone after my Icon was submerged in water. I would like to go to ATT because my wife is on ATT, but my company pays for my monthly bill, and it will be a pain in the butt to switch from Verizon right now considering I'm on a two year contract.

Any suggestions? I am probably going to have to pay full price so I was thinking about going for a Sony Xperia Z3v. I like Windows Phone, but there are no current Windows Phones that would interest me on Verizon including the HTC.

If I do stick with Windows Phone, I would probably want to go cheap. I don't really need a flagship, but I was hoping maybe the 830 had a CDMA variant. Your thoughts are welcome.

I washed an iPod of mine once. Washed it in some work out shorts and then left it in the wash all night long. I was pissed, cause all my songs for working out were on there.
I decided to try the rice trick to see if it would fix it. And it does work.

I can't remember if the icon has a removable battery or not, but if it does, remoe it. Then get a squarish tuperware bowl and fill it with dry rice. Completely submerge your phone in the rice and then seal the tuperware with its top. Let sit for 3 days. 3 full days.

After the 3rd day, take it out of the rice, blow out any debris from the plug in hole and then plug it in. Wait a couple of minutes and then attempt to power on normally. $20 says it does.
