Dead iPad mini

I have a dead iPad mini 16 gb WiFi. It won't charge and won't turn on. I've taken it apart and everything looks good inside (it's out of warranty) but I'm not sure what I should be looking for. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

I would put another battery in. If that brings it back to life I would expect that it is a bad cable port.

That sucks, looks like Apple will replace them for $219, which isn't much of a discount from the current price of a new iPad mini wifi.

My wife broke her digitalizer on her first gen iPad mini and it looks like I can get the part for about $100, but separating it from the LCD looks like a pain.

Hope you find out what is wrong with yours, have you tried another charger/cable?

I wish I had another battery to use, I did notice a very small crack in the LCD but I don't think that would make it stop working completely. And I tried two other chargers and neither worked and they both work with my iPad Air and iPhone. Guess I'll just keep taking more of it apart!
