Went into the Applestore in Newcastle today with an iPad bought at Currys, I noticed 1 dead pixel a few days after purchase, made a booking with a Genius today, this happened:-

Apple - Quick inspection - 'yes it's a dead pixel'

Me - ' what is the policy on dead pixels'

Apple - 'one is too many, I will order a replacement'

One happy Apple customer.

Yup. A friend of mine bought a couple of iPads in London (Regent Street) on launch day. One had two dead pixels, bought it back, they swapped it there and then no problem.

Apple's customer service is brilliant for such a large company.

Now imagine how that would have played out if you'd taken it back to Curry's.
