Hey guys, I've been searching but to no avail.

I found a single dead pixel on my iP4 screen and its really bothering me. I know it might be a little OCD but its a brand new phone and shouldnt have anything wrong with it.

If I make an appointment at Apple, will they replace it?

They will but not yet.

So if I just deal with it til July 14th or whatever then make the appointment, they should replace it? At not charge?

I would bet money they won't replace your display for 1 dead pixel. Like most companies, they will prob tell you there needs to be a minimum amount

Nope. Apple are great to early adopters. I got my iPad switched out at an Apple Store with no hassle at all.

Book the appointment as soon as you can OP and don't take a refurb or repair as a good answer.

But the thing is, I need to keep my phone, I cant have the store take it when I'm waiting for a new one. They don't do they?
I'm also weary of going now because i know that they wont have any stock available for a while.

Call Applecare, they will call the store and have them hold an extra one for you and let you come into replace it, just had a friend do it. They replace it on the spot.

I think ill just deal with it til the hype dies down. It's basically a non issue now, I only see it on white screens and its pretty much microscopic. I dont even think Apple would replace it if they saw it

I just replaced the phone I picked up this morning. I thought it had two stuck pixels, but they actually turned out to be foreign matter under the glass. Regardless, I wandered in around 3:30, and wandered back out 15 minutes later with a perfect phone. They had a few in back that aren't in the normal boxes and don't have the cables/headphones with them, just for situations like mine.

Had some junk under my screen (metallic flecks) so I sent it back for a return. Was being offered one of the non-retail box iPhone 4s but considering I didn't even have the phone for more than 24 hours, I'd rather return it and just purchase a new one (in a sealed retail box) to get piece of mind. Hence, I refused and returned.

I know the ones they have on hand right now are new with a small part inside that was changed. To me, new is in a new box and not previously handled, so it was worth it for me to return and just purchase again due to this policy. I would have accepted one of the refurb box phones if this was past the 30 day return area (which is what they usually do), but for less than a day of owning a phone? No, thanks.
