I read a few posts about dead pixels on the iSight, so I thought I'd post this picture to see what other people think.

This is a screenshot straight from Photobooth, showing the image from my iSight when the black cleaning cloth is held up to it.

No, those marks are not dirt (on the outside anyway). Other that this, my iMac is fine with the exception of a single dead pixel (I thought this was a thing of the past, but oh well) and I'm not 100% about whether or not I have the yellow screen issue, so I'll ignore it for now.

What do you think about this issue?

I posted this issue on the Apple Discussions and an Apple engineer actually called my house from Texas asking for screenshots of the issue. After looking at it for a couple days, they called me back and told me that it is a hardware issue and to bring in my iMac for an iSight replacement. I haven't done so yet as I'm still waiting on a yellow screen fix.

To be honest, I'm not overly bothered about this issue for two reasons:
    1. I don't use the iSight much at all.
    2. Is it really worth the time and effort required to get a replacement?

I mostly posted this out of mere curiosity, to see if anyone else here has had the same issue as me. However, if other issues arise with this iMac, then I may consider it.

Yes, it seems to be commonplace. It doesn't bother me much either, I'm much more concerned about the yellow tinge. I did ask the engineer about the yellow tinge when he called about the iSight and he couldn't give me any more information except that they're aware of the issue.
