Well I had finally received my MBP today and was really excited to finally have it. I turn it on and the first thing I notice is that dead pixel in the lower middle of the screen. Just one freaking pixel.......but I already called apple care and they have a new one shipping out and mine is at a fedex.

For the 15 minutes I did use it though I was happy haha, now the waiting game begins again...:(

wow... that's great! Apple's customer service is usually amazing. It's good they're exchanging your machine, instead of enforcing their so-called "dead pixel policy"... which IMO is outrageous for a premium machine and its price. If Dell can have a zero dead pixel policy, why can't Apple?

Have fun with your new machine!

I hear ya man. This is my first Apple product and I was really happy with the customer service. Sucks waiting again but not really Apple's fault I guess since an LCD display can get dead pixels. Hopefully I'll have a dead-pixel free MBP by next week.
