I was close to BB yesterday, so I stooped. I ask the sales man what are the most affordable Dolby Vision TV's. He suggested these two. He said the TCL is a beast of a tv for the price.

TCL $399 55-inch

Vizio $649.99 55-inch

What makes the Vizio P Series so much more expensive ($1399)?
If you're going TCL, you want the 6-series, which is $600 for the 55" 4K HDR version. I have that TV, and while I actually haven't used it that much (it's a secondary TV next to my projector screen), the picture on it is spectacular.

Ok thanks.
[doublepost=1542837182][/doublepost]QUESTION: Wouldn't the ATV 4k make the picture of all low cost Dolby Vision TV's better?

My brother has a 1080p TV. When I purchased my ATV 4k I gave him my old ATV. Whenever he uses the ATV the quality of the picture is much better than using the apps that came with his TV. The ATV is even better than watching via his cable service. I'm thinking an ATV 4k on an affordable Dolby Vision TV will be just as good or maybe even better than just the TV alone.

ended up picking up a 75 inch Sony X900F yesterday at BB. Def at the higher end of the spectrum as pricing goes but damn so far this thing is a BEAST. I was comparing to the 75 inch Q9s and Q8s and even dipped down to the Q6s just couldn't justify paying in the 3ks when this tv rates just as good if not better in some of those top end aspects

Browsing B&H's website and saw the LG SK8000 Series 55"-Class HDR UHD Smart Nano Cell IPS LED TV regularly priced at $1,196.99 on special for $696.99. I think this might be the one. No tax and free shipping makes this one super tasty!

Cool Breeze which TV did you end up buying?? Pilot gave IMHO very good advice on the 6 series TCL. A site I trust for ratings has an exhaustive analysis and comparison among many TV's.

Yes TCL turned out to be the choice because of pricing for the features.
