Both Amazon and B&H Photo are now offering the AirPods Pro for $199.99, down from $249.00. This $50 discount remains the best price that we've ever tracked for a new pair of AirPods Pro.

TBH, the best place to buy AirPods Pro is Costco. If they break, their return policy is the best. No questions asked, no end date, anytime. I put a set through the washing machine and just returned them and got a new pair. Or in a few years a new version comes out, just return it.
  • Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).

AirPods Pro isn’t a part of that 90 day list.

Still about 150 more than they're worth with their poor sound quality. If you think they sound good, then you don't know good.
So which ones do you like? I’m curious, my experience on High Quality sound is few years back so not familiar with recent year stuff. Around year 2005 I owned Shures SE535 ($500 real price when new) and Ultimate Ears or UE triplefi 10 ($400 real price when new) the Shures were better and worth the money IMO (and many others opinions) but these were wired and not “smart” earphones, just straight plain earphones for both. For $250 Apple EarPods Pro are NOT too shabby and all the tech they come with. I ended up selling my Shures for $400 back when, few years ago before AirPods, and kept the UEs due the resale value (at time I decided I was going to keep only one) was only $150 for the UEs and I got much more back on the Shures.

While I get that they have a very liberal return policy I would never put the cost of replacement on the retailer/manufacturer for something I carelessly destroyed but YMMV.

My mistake then, I assumed that electronics might cast a wider net than what they specifically list.

I'll stick with our $30 options. Decent enough sound quality and I don't hate replacing them if they get lost or one drops in water. Honestly, the AirPod style don't fit well in my husband's ears anyway.

Abusing return policies like this is how they get ruined.

How do you define ‘good’ when everybody’s expectations are different? They certainly don’t sound bad By any means and you can’t just insinuate you don’t know good when everyone has different variances of Audio quality. We all know they don’t have the quality of certain higher brands, but don’t they need to. But I think they are plenty sufficient for the majority of consumers. I think you’re being a bit over critical on a product that is highly successful with noise cancellation and custom fit being the key points here.

Does anyone know if there will be a new version of AirPods Pro soon? Not the studio but the pro.

You would think... but it’s been like that forever at Costco. I think their rate of abusers/returns is outpaced by the increase in memberships and purchases they gain because of their exceptional customer service/return policy.

Literally anything from Sony in the mid-range and above. Even some of their budget buds sound better.

It's the same reason why most people buy average quality speakers, and a much smaller group buy speakers that cost as much as a car. People that buy the cheaper ones can still hear a difference, but they simply don't put as much importance on quality, and senselessly buy something because it's popular.

What's the king on audio quality if totally wireless is the goal?

Senn Momentum 2 ?
New Bose QC Earbuds ?

I bought a pair for my wife 10 days ago for the same price at Costco. I guess you are not tracking Costco prices. She likes it a lot.

I scope them up 2 weeks ago at this price. I love them so far. I had $135 in Amazon gift cards so they made the perfect birthday gift for myself
