This thing sucks. After 2 years of use, the right pod loses its battery after 30 minutes while the left pod still has 50%. So I have to recharge in the middle of movies. Gonna throw this thing into a garbage bin soon.

Great deal. Since I went truly wireless my journey has been AirPods gen 1> AirPods Pro > Powerbeats Pro > AirPods gen 2. I’ve learned a lot. Mostly that my needs are simple and that I should just give up on exercising with earbuds, but also that I’m in the rare camp of those that prefer the double tap feature to squeezing the stem.
I don't like in-ear buds, so I never really considered them myself. the regular AirPods work fine for my needs, I just hope that I'll be able to get a replacement set at some point for cheaper.

Amazon today introduced a new all-time-low price on the AirPods with Wired Charging Case, which are available for $99.00, down from $159.00. Previous sales have seen this version of the AirPods discounted to around $130, so this is definitely a solid deal for early holiday shoppers.

These AirPods include the traditional wired Charging Case that charges via Lightning. If you want to add wireless charging to the AirPods, you'll have to purchase the separate Wireless Charging Case, on sale now for $69.00 on Amazon.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Tried to get this deal at Walmart and for some reason they forced me to change my password at check out. I was so mad when it sold out lol. Thankfully, Amazon had my back. :)

Cheaper than $99? Maybe but not by much. I too don’t care much for in ear earbuds. Tried the AirPods Pro and found them to be the most comfortable of any I had tried. Returned them though because I had hoped they would serve me better for workouts, which wasn’t the case.

Return them or just email them. Amazon is super chill about things like this.
Yes. I discovered a few months ago they had been charging me for Amazon prime for over a year after a trial ran out ans apparently i didn’t cancel it. I pointed out I hadn’t bought anything from Amazon in the period and the guy was like “yes I can see that. No problem. How does a complete refund suit you?” “Yes thank you”.

There is a lot of hate towards Amazon and Jeff Bezos for many reasons, some of which quite valid. However their customer service is just the best.

Really tempted with this. I use my airpods 1st gen (a few years old) all day on and off for conference calls now for working at home, and I have to constantly switch out one ear at a time, because I only get about 1hr 15 mins on a charge, so with back to back 1 hour meetings, I can't stay on one ear (or use both.) Is the talk time of 3 hours on the 2nd gen really close to accurate?

No, I'd love to pay $99 US ($130 canadian). But we just don't get these types of deals here in Canada. All the retailers just sell them at Apple MSRP, and on amazon.ca there are no genuine AirPods just the knockoffs.

+1 Same issue here.

If you live in the EU (or UK) you can request a repair, replacement or refund as you are guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years in accordance with the EU Sales of Goods act.

Unfortunately this offer has not been extended to the UK but this thread prompted me to buy a set all the same.
As often happens when I buy a new Apple product, my reaction is 'why on earth did I wait so long to get them'.
They fit perfectly, they don't look half as silly as I thought, they interact perfectly with the iPhone and they sound great.
I only hope they are going to last.
