The MagSafe battery pack would make sense at 50% off given how limited the recharge is.
I got one when they were on sale for $80. I still feel a bit silly about it considering 3rd party equivalents are half that but having used it for some time now I think it's worth it. I can't make a full heavy day without it on my 12 Pro (91% health last time I checked).

I love that you can connect either phone or battery to your lightning cable and both will be 100% in the morning. The 3rd party ones can't do that.

I've never fully understood the design of the regular MagSafe charger. I have a duo wireless charging pad on my desk that I would love to have some magnets, but it's purely stationary. Similarly, I could see the utility in an actual stand, or a magnetic car mount in the car.

The MagSafe charger as it is, to me at least, seems to solve the problem of being able to hold and use your phone while charging, which frankly a simple cable is much better at. I bought a 3m lightning cable for my bedside charging and -- unless you just can't deal with the simple act of plugging the phone in -- don't see how MagSafe could be anymore convenient.

Like so much commentary about Apple, this is something where you really shouldn't have an opinion until you try it.
Magsafe charging is simply more convenient, you don't have to plug a cable in and take it out.

Will that change your life? No.
Will it make your life a little more convenient? Yes, and probably more than you realize.

No-one's claiming more than that. But you're not really in a position to say that you *know* you won't find it delightful until you've actually tried it.
