Sounds like a good opportunity to save a lot but I can't help but think the regular prices seem pretty high, considering they probably make them for about $3 or $5. The leather case is 17% of the cost of an iPhone Mini. Nice margins. Consumers are getting complacent to ridiculous prices for things.

There are so many fakes of Apple accessories in Amazon's warehouses I have a hard time even wanting to bother gambling on these.

It's not worth buying stuff like this on Amazon. "Ships and sold by Apple", but the bin they take the parts out of is a common bin for any item claiming to be a official Apple case. You could absolutely get a fraudulent case.

I highly recommend you not buy anything that can be counterfeit on Amazon. They have a real problem.

The iPhone 12 Mini leather case which retails for $59 is actually 8.5% of the cost of the $699 iPhone 12 Mini.

But I agree with you. The cases are overpriced. The current sale price should be the actual price.

Luckily, Apple graciously offers financing.

that doesn't address the large margins that seem to be considered "normal"

all that does is hide how much someone is actually paying into monthly payments. So your comment here is really completely irrelevant to the point the user was making

Spreading $100 dollars over 10 months, is still $100. whether paid upfront or in that timespan.

Simply put. over the last decade or so, a LOT of Apple products have not really had the value that the price point claims. There's a reason APPL has record profits time and time again: HINT> the increasing prices are generally directly being passed through to the executive and dividend payouts and are not directly tied anymore to the quality, build or value of the product itself

I Say this as a long time Apple user to. there are just a lot of things in the linup that simply put should be 10-15% cheaper than they are and Apple would STILL profit big time. Just instead of 2 billion in revenues, it might be 1.9 billion. But Tim Cook can't have that. His stock options depend on it.

Of course this is one week after I ordered an Apple silicone case for my 12 mini.

order one from Amazon or BB on sale, and return it to whomever you bought the first one from at retail.

or, better yet, if you bought from BB initially, they’ll process a price match if it’s the same color.

I think that is a really good deal. The lower price is a win-win. I have owned both official Apple iPhone cases (both leather and silicone) versus 3rd party, the Apple cases have been much better both times. I have an Apple iPhone Xs leather case that just gets better with age.

Yup. I agree with everything you said (except for the part about my comment being irrelevant). That's why I sarcastically referenced Apple's silly financing program for accessories.

Most back up to full price already ! Ya' gotta love the dynamic pricing algorithms. I love them about as much as paying 39 dollars for something that has a Bill of Materials in pennies.
