I take it Apple has extra inventory of the 11” model?

Pretty sure Amazon/BB don't share inventory with Apple. They probably buy in bulk, probably get a slight discount, and are probably willing to give up their profit on the device to get you "through the door", knowing you'll likely buy other products there… ;) This is the most fundamental marketing principle during the Holiday season!

Are the lower iPad Pro prices on Amazon a temporary thing? I was planning to pick up one after Christmas, but if this is a limited-time sale, I may just pull the trigger...

    Edit:
Who am I kidding. I just bought it.

There is no way these are selling well. I was at the Apple store to try one of these out and it was so fatiguing to hold because of the squared off sides. I wanted to throw it against a wall after about 2 minutes.

The iPad Pro is overpriced to begin with. It’s discounted practically everywhere.

It just feels like Apple is struggling on the sales from this holiday. Little, subtle, well-masked, signs everywhere.

Revenue will be fine .lots of ways to report to Wall Street. But I bet they are glad they aren’t reporting units. Not a quarter too soon.

Most (if not all) Apple products are overpriced by a good 30%. They seem to fall into same mediocrity which they were during pre Steve Job’s days. Then public opinion gets skewed in opposite direction and they keep on falling into a deep abyss.

I’ve not seen so much discounting before Christmas generally, not just Apple.
