Totally agree. And seriously lacking features compared to the competition.
I agree with the comment about the price, but what features are "lacking" compared to the competition?

There is only one big feature that I can think of, and that is the lack of a web browser..

Other than that, the Apple TV 4K is better than any of the competition out there.

Too good, as in the HW is way overpowered for just a streaming box, but Apple's lack of interest in the Apple TV and tvOS has killed any momentum to making it anything more than a streaming box.

In case you are wondering, if you bought this 2 days ago at $179 Amazon has no price match policy so you will have to return it and buy again at the lower price. It's a really convenient and low cost policy Amazon has there.

Dang, if I didn’t already have the previous gen still working great ….so tempting.

The Apple TV is a fantastic & stable device without any damn ads & crashing issues that I’ve experienced with ruku and firestick. To me, Apple TV is worth the money.

maybe I’m an Apple sucker but I love all my devices working seamlessly together.

With the new remote the Apple TV really hits the spot , tbh I use mine more than I watch tv , lot more

YouTube alone is incredible, ok the interface is pretty awful , but so much amazing content

Then there’s all the catchup apps etc , only thing I never got into was the arcade . Maybe when they stick an m1 in the games will improve… ?

I have that built into my TV already as do probably most smart tvs. If that is the rationale for some people for splashing out $150, no wonder Apple is raking it in.

I actually had bought one last Thursday when the price was $169. I messaged Amazon chat yesterday when the price went down and the first person I spoke with wouldn't budge on refunding the difference. I left the chat and then talked to someone else and really pushed them on it because it's so wasteful to return it and just buy it again. They finally gave in and refunded the $20 because i'm such a "valued customer". If you really push them they will do it.

I have Roku TVs with good picture quality but dog slow processors. The latest Roku OS updates have made it better. But they also work very well with the Apple TVs I use instead, because the ATVs are SO much faster and sync with the Apple TV app on my other devices.

It’s not for everyone, but the experience is so much better.
