False. LG’s 27MD5KL is just as good (I have 3 plus a 5K imac). It’s MSRP is $1300 but you can find it for $1100, used $800.

I don't understand discounts on new released products, and such huge price cut, thats 14% less. I think I have heard news on discounted devices near same day release.

If you do this then it really means the product is not moving, as in its a failure.

I believe the deals are on the only two stock configurations because that's all Amazon sells.

It is a good deal if you will use the mini headless as I do. I remote in with my iPad Pro or M1 MBA. Otherwise, the actual price is much higher, unless one already has the necessary peripherals.

I only spent $30 extra dollars on a wired keyboard and mouse for my base M1 Mini. Already had a 4K monitor and nice speakers.

No details of a new Mac mini yet though. These may just be the natural third party discounts that happen (probably partly subsidized by Apple) after a product has been out for a few months.

I'm using the same keyboard and trackpad from a couple purchases ago. I have 2 or 3 extra "magic" keyboards lying around.

It's too bad Apple can't make an iMac quality monitor and sell it separately. Not clear to me one should need toss a monitor when the computer becomes outdated. They have different refresh cycles.
