My mini 5 still works really well, even running something pretty advanced like Genshin Impact. Curious if we'll get a 7 any time soon....

The jelly scrolling issue was and remains a dealbreaker for me. I'm a huge iPad mini user. My iPad mini 5 is by far my most used device (apart from my MPB, which is my work machine). I use it for everything: reading (ePub and PDF), writing (Ulysses and Scrivener), surfing the web, Twitter, YouTube, almost anything really. I have tested the iPad mini 6 several times in the store and, for the way I use it, the jelly scrolling is just too noticeable, too annoying. So I'm hanging on to my iPad mini 5, which is still in great shape. I do like the design of the mini 6 thou, so I really hope they do something about the jelly scrolling when the 7 comes (if it comes, which I really, really hope).

Just as a refresher, even though the iPad mini 6 is almost a year old, it has an A15 Bionic processor, the same processor in the iPhone SE 2022, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 (not 14 Pro). It's still a fast and formidable device and thankfully has a USB-C port.

I use mine constantly, and don't notice the jelly scrolling. TBH, though, I haven't gone out of my way to see it, because I don't want to get obsessed about it. What I would really like to see is a pro version with face ID, as I am so used to it with my phone that I frequently swipe up for things that require touch ID on the ipad. I love this size so much that I stopped using my larger pro model and ended up giving it to my daughter for college.

I'm holding out to see whether an Apple announcement this month might bring an iPad 7 or even a 6 with more storage.

(In each of the five years from 2012 to 2016, there was an iPad update - the 1st through 4th generations, and then a capacity bump for 4th, so there's plenty of precedent for an iPad being updated after one year.)

$399

Otherwise known as the previous MSRP of the iPad Mini (before they hacked the price for Mini6)

How is this for taking notes in meetings? I need something small and easy to carry around for work. I was thinking of the base ipad but this looks so much better…

I'm still hoping for an iPad Pro mini. Face ID, 120Hz, and the iPhone Pro camera module in this form factor would be killer.
Yeah, me too.

iPad Pro Max Mini, with Face ID on front and back cameras, Touch ID on power button and under the display, 240hz (120hz is so 2000), 10TB base storage and iPhone 20 cameras, which will have 100MP on each of the 5 lenses. Also support for Apple Pencil 10 that you can use through mind-control.

This illustrates the game of telephone about “Apple problems“on Macrumors.
You’re not wrong

Although,I don’t own a mini ,but I did try it in store nonetheless ,and the jelly scrolling was real -in portrait at least- .

The fact that I can’t tell about landscape doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m just telephoning the portrait’s jelly
