I guess it’s going to be awhile before we start seeing $100 off deals for the Mini again.

Amazon is still doing, along with Best Buy, a $249.99 iPad 10.2. Signs of a refresh coming soon I imagine.
The iPad Mini 5 never had a significant "sale" until now. During all of Black Friday week, the Minis were pretty much left out of the sales. All the other larger iPads did have some big sale here or there in the past holiday season.

I welcome the Mini 5 sale.... either a good buying opportunity, or even better, it gives us hope that a refresh is coming this year.

Hope Apple actually streams down its Apple Pencil to version 2 on all devices.

All iPads can have slim bezels except the only differences would be iPad gets PowerButton TouchID v.3 and LiquidRetina display and the Pro models get PowerButton TouchID v.3, FaceID and microLED XDR display. ProMotion should be included on all iPads and the design resemble the Pro.

iPhone 11 and Pro share the same design language, difference in display, minor bezel thickness, camera's and materials. If FaceID is replaced with PowerButton TouchID v.3 on the budget line the costs would drop a lot.

FaceID is still too expensive and the design language seems to be split or transitioning between the original design and post a decade. It really needs a refresh.

Only question will the 2020 Pro have an A14X debute prior to iPhone 2020 (14).

Is the A10 going to last much longer?
The A10 is quite a capable chip it has a good 5-8 years ahead of it unless Apple decides to arbitrary cease supporting it.
