Amazon has marked the price of the 32GB Apple TV HD down to $79.00, down from $149.00. This model is the Apple TV that launched in 2015, but it now comes with the new 2021 Siri Remote.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with some of these vendors. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

As of writing, shipping is delayed on the Apple TV HD, with delivery dates estimated for early November. You can still lock in this all-time low price today ahead of those dates, and Amazon may ship sooner if more stock is made available.

This is a particularly steep discount on the Apple TV HD, and the best price we've ever tracked to date. The Apple TV HD lacks support for 4K resolution and other features, which you can read more on in our comparison guide, but it's still a solid streaming device for those okay with 1080p resolution, especially at this price point.

For the newer models with 4K, the 32GB Apple TV 4K is $109.99 on Amazon, down from $179.00, and the 64GB Apple TV 4K is $129.99, down from $199.00. Be sure to visit our full Deals Roundup to shop for even more Apple-related products and accessories.

Update: This deal has expired.

This one feels like a clearance price for sure. Can't see Apple keeping it around much longer.

Though I thought that about the 4K models, but the one I got was only a few months out of date software wise.

Wow - that is cheap. I thought new one was not due out until next year?

As long as Apple does not end support on this tv, then this is a great deal!

Lets just hope my Apple TV stick comes out and replaces this!

This is the same as the 2015 model with the A8 processor. I just replaced it because of how laggy it is with the new TVOS and apps that use the new OS functions (picture in picture, etc). The 2nd Gen 4K model with the A12 released in 2021 was $109 yesterday on Amazon. I was able to get a Amazon Warehouse returned ( and seemingly unused ) model for $85, although they seem to be sold out at that price.

Smart move - may as well sell them cheap and get new subscribers. I've wanted the 4k version and it's finally cheap enough to justify.

I've been using this model since it was released in 2015. Have not had any performance issues.

Agree to disagree I guess

I've had this model and it sucks in comparison to the 4k's (sold the one I had)
Animations can stutter and things are just a bit slower

It's not "awful", but not as smooth and snappy as the 4k models...

This shouldn't be bought now other than for a major discount (which this really isn't)
Apple shouldn't even be selling this model honestly.

Wow, great deal

The new version of the Siri remote by itself sells for $59.00 at the Apple Store - so with this promotion, the Apple TV effectively only costs $20
Shake “only costed” $500 before they ditched that whole product 6 months later.

That's because nothing of substance has been changed since release 7 years. I know, I've had mine since release too. There is no vision for it except to generate subscription revenue for watching content.

Got mine for $15 through local app, this is a good deal for a new.
Works great for my 720 TV.
4K is overrated.
