Amazon has a few notable discounts on Apple's 10.2-inch iPad from 2019, in both 32GB and 128GB sizes for the Wi-Fi only option. For the 32GB iPad, you'll find a sale price of $279.00, down from $329.00 ($50 off).

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Amazon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

This is currently the best price for this model among the major Apple resellers online, although it isn't quite the lowest price we've ever tracked. Both the Space Gray and Gold options are being discounted, but Gold will ship faster and arrive by the end of the month.

For the 128GB Wi-Fi iPad, Amazon is discounting this tablet to $379.99, down from $429.00 ($50 off). This price is being matched at Best Buy, and is another best price available online at the moment. Both Space Gray and Silver are on sale at Amazon, with the former available to ship today.

For even more iPad deals, head to our full Best Deals guide for iPad. In that guide we track the best discounts online for iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro.

There are better deals. I paid $250 for my brand new iPad 7 back in November. BB generally has sales very few weeks.

Disagree with the comment about A10. iPad processors have outdistanced the software for years now. RAM is the bigger issue, and the iPad 7 has 3GB, which is on par with the Air and only 1GB less than the 2018 iPP. I have had zero performance issues with my base iPad 7.....smooth and snappy.

IMHO, best value in Tech.

It’s a toy. Except for this spring when it is also a Zoom device. My son still has to use a laptop to do his Google Classroom schoolwork since the iPad even with a paired keyboard can’t allow him to complete and turn in assignments. - while this is likely a flaw in the Google Classroom app, it’s more proof that an iPad is not a substitute for a computer for any real school use.

My kids schools don’t use google classroom and they each have turned in 100% of their work on their iPad Air 3 with keyboards. More proof that the iPad can be a computer substitute for real school use.

As a purchaser of one of these, I disagree. It is not a toy, and Apple would not have chosen to release it in the second half of 2019 if it was not adequate for at least three years. There was a sale a few months ago on Amazon where I picked up a 128GB for the price of the new 32. Gave it to my sister, and it's been great.

The A10X is going to become the new A8X chip in terms of longevity. The number of devices that are still being pumped out with it today is impressive. And in no way does it feel slow, either, despite pushing 3 years old now.

For $250? I bet people will think they got a great device for $8/month.
Probably they will also buy the Smart Keyboard ($159) and the 1st gen Pencil ($99), and maybe a mouse or trackpad too, so add that to the price.

When upgrading to a new iPad in 2022 (again with an old chip and few RAM), they will find out that the "old" 2020 keyboard and pencil are not compatible with the new 2022 iPad.

How do you think Apple has become a US$ 1 trillion company?

By people buying new equipment every year. Sound familiar? I bet you do it. I‘ve had a 9.7 iPad Pro that I used daily since release. Bought a 2018 Pro(549 refurbished through apple and a smart folio keyboard from eBay for $88) this year and plan to keep it for another 4 years. $13/month for my main work device feels like a steal.

Yeah, But you really don't have to buy Apple's accessories. There are less expensive third party options. Get a Logitech K380 Keyboard plus BT Mouse for total of $50-60 on sale; $250 iPad plus the $50 accessories and $10 case from Amazon. $310.....pretty sweat. Use your employer provided computer for work and use your iPad for personal stuff. Done and Done.

I realize this won't work for everyone, but I bet it would work for a fair number of people. Of course, YMMV.

My point was not consistently. Google Classroom is one of the largest online school platforms for elemtaty, junior high and high school curriculums. Other than that there are plenty of other ways in which iOS apps don’t perform to the level that desktop class apps and OS can. It can do the work. Or most of the time but doesn’t necessarily make it a great choice.

but here’s the thing. It’s a great choice for my kids. And it works for my job 100% of the time. So no, it’s not a toy as you suggest.

Few days ago my 2018 iPad 6th fell from ~1.20m (~4 feet) high, with no case, no protection, its screen turned down and hit the floor.

When I took it to see the damage, for my surprise there was no crack on the screen, not even a single scratch, perfectly intact, like new.

Very lucky because I don't want to have to replace it buying an A10 iPad in 2020, I bought an A10 iPad 24 months ago.

I think you made your point before this post. Wrong or not, your point was made.

I don’t find that price on Amazon.com, not even close to that. I’ve been looking for it since it was posted here. what is this fake news?

i’d appreciate it if somebody could point me the right way.
