This device shouldn't exist with 64GB. It should be the 128GB at this price tag.
Everyone I know who purchased the 64GB or less regrets it; a few months later they have realized they need more storage.
Too bad they didn't listed to my recommendations.

I’m using 32gb. Plenty happy with my 64gb.

I think you got it confused with swap memory. The iPad Air 5 64gb doesn't support swap memory due to the low storage, but it still supports Stage Manager.

Yes, for the moment I must be missing a crucial piece of information, since the last what I read is that the above mentioned model will not support Stage Manager due that swap limitation as it is needed and no can do with out full stop. I think my friend has that model so I'll definitely get him to confirm when public beta is available. In the meantime I'm looking forward to reading something that will clarify whether M1 AND swap memory support are required at the same time.

Stage Manager yes, Virtual Memory Swap no.

The swap requirement came from an interview and I believe 16GB was also mentioned then so I’m guessing that’s for best performance rather than a strict requirement.

Interestingly enough, I was updating my M1 MacBook Air last night and unlike when I first got it, it seems they’ve reduced swappiness on MacOS. Before, I’d always have 2-4GB swap just browsing on Safari. Last night, my swap was 0MB and it only increased to 80MB after I opened a crap ton of Safari tabs.
