Verizon continues to lower the price of Apple's AirPods Pro, now offering the Bluetooth headphones for $219.99, down from an original price of $249.00. This is $5 under AT&T's current price on the headphones, and the lowest price we have ever seen for new AirPods Pro to date.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Verizon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

Like previous Verizon discounts, you'll need to add the AirPods Pro to your cart to see the $30 discount. Verizon supports free two day shipping, and some retail stores are offering same-day pick-up for some locations across the United States.

AirPods Pro are Apple's high-end headphones, with support for Active Noise Cancellation. The AirPods Pro also have overall better sound quality than the AirPods, and custom silicone ear-tips that provide a more snug fit for different ear sizes.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Just to keep things in perspective, $219 is NOT a low price for a couple of earbuds that get lost, wear out, or need to be replaced in a couple of years. When accessories like this are $50, I'll start to think about buying them.

Exciting times... only another $169 to go and you will have nice earphones!!! If you make a gofundme account I would be the first to throw in a couple of bucks. Keep us posted.

I'm 2.5 years now into using my AirPods. They are still going strong. The battery doesn't last more than a couple hours playing music but it's a quick charge. The issue is with phone calls where the battery only lasts about 30 minutes but I just use 1 bud at a time and switch off. It's not ideal but it works.

I agree though that people should know that AirPods will only last a few years before needing to be replaced. It would be better if a simple battery replacement would fix them.

I'm going to buy these one day. They will be great on the metro! Sleek and clean. I recommend having them price matched at Best Buy! That way you can rack up points!

Of course, right after I buy them somewhere else...

I don’t know where you purchased your AirPod Pros, However if you’re out of your return period with that specific retailer, see if they can at least ‘price match‘ them for to adjust the price difference of the current sale. [Usually in order for retailers to price match, the item has to be on stock and it has to be a known source like Best Buy, Verizon, Frys] Especially if they’re a reputable retailer Where you purchased your AirPod Pros from, they They might make an exception if you’re just outside your ‘14 day’ return period.

oh no you DIDN'T just critique apple on an apple fan board! out with this heathen! just kidding, I agree.
Well, it sounds like you are not the customer for these. Can't imagine why you would post in a thread like this.

People have opinions much like egos. I agree the price tag is too high. Yes, I bought them, yes I worked at Apple (for 5 great years), and yes they're also priced TOO high - even with the $30 discount.

Does this mean a newer version is coming? I thought the pros were new?

They say there will not be any refresh in 2020 or 2021. I was worried abut it too. This was from Mac rumors AirPod pro section when I looked.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who often reliably predicts Apple's product plans, says that Apple is working on a second-generation version of the AirPods Pro that will go into mass production into the fourth quarter of 2021 to the first quarter of 2022, which suggests no AirPods Pro refresh in 2020 or early 2021.

No way would I be able to justify this kind of money just for earbuds. I searched for ages to find some that won't fall out of my ears when running - and I found an acceptable product from Anker for around £20-£25.

I may be paying around £100 for my next earphones but they will be of the bone conducting type because there are some races/marathons that don't allow you to wear earbuds/earphones/etc due to blocking out external sounds.

I guess that means I'm not Apple's target market, but it still makes me smile when I see this kind of price attached to a headline that states "new LOW price!" when the price is so high as to be unreachable. 😅

i love how this has become some kind of a competition between providers :)

Providers are using this as a way to minimize churn. Cell phone plans and subsidies can only go so low, and using lanyards/cases just don't work no more. Headphones & streaming music bundles/offers, especially during phone upgrades do impact users more, and they tend to talk about those more with one another, at least in the past year.

Headphones are personal, no doubt, but you can share your taste in headphones much easily if they come in minimal colours vs radical customizations, especially with peers that also use iPhones/iPads/Watch - all of which can also be bought at the carrier with a plan/service (and payment options) ;)

Bought them directly from Apple. I feel the price was fair, it's just that a sale happened JUST after I bought them. Figures!

funny, i don't see verizon reducing their plans. all i saw here is some hotspot budging, but let's be realistic that is a very very minor thing)

That's why you buy these at Costco. Low price, and if you accidentally wash them in the washing machine, return them and get a new pair! Their return policy is fantastic for items like this. Do the same thing for vacuums, etc.

Buy your next pair at Costco next time, when the battery life is diminished after a couple years, return them and get a new pair!

FYI I had the battery issue with my 3 year old pods and after deleting them from my phone and re-linking them, my battery life doubled.

It's hilarious to hear people complaining about AirPods Pro pricing, because I was one of those guys until last December. I've tried all the $30 cheapies and they're all a joke. Finally ponied up the cash for APP and like most Apple products, they just *work*.

I don't care about the battery degradation--they're worth the ten bucks per month that they cost, and I bought Applecare+ to replace at the appropriate time.

So whine all you like, but you won't find a product that works better for someone already in the Apple ecosystem.

Still overpriced. Love Apple. But regular airpods should be $99 and the “pros” should be $150 tops. JMHO

I just bought a pair last week. By a good margin the most expensive headphones I've ever bought. I've always been in the €50 camp because I thought I'll lose them, break them or put them through the washing machine anyway so what's the point? I've had several pairs of cheap crappy sport buds but got tired of flaky bluetooth quality and various other design flaws that come with the price range so I decided to try something else. I also suddenly had a need for a good headset for video calls because of the whole pandemic thing.

They sound great, sit in my ears really well and have a rock solid bluetooth connection. Who could've thought that spending more money gets you a better product? If I could make a wish I would add a touch sensor on the outside of the buds for volume adjustment. Tap left ear to lower and right ear to raise, etc.

There appears to be a $50 restocking fee for returns to Verizon for wireless products. There are exceptions but I didn’t dig in or inquire. Nor did I check ATT’s returns policy. Caveat emptor...
