Still haven’t gotten an iPad. What do y’all use it for?
I use it as my main personal device. I no longer have a Macbook as the CPU at the time was not up to the task for consuming h.265 media and I sold it while the value was still high.

My 2018 iPad Pro works splendidly as my main machine for my uses and has been doing so for the better part of 5 years now. There are some use cases here and there which require me to get onto an actual PC (like formatting a USB drive) but they are far and few for me.

So far so good.

To each their own, but I feel like most people need an iPad or a Mac, but unlikely both (unless you are an Apple fanatic and have money to blow). I use my MBA daily and found that when I had an iPad, it was a nice-to-have, but often found myself using my Mac instead. One area I think the iPad really excels in would be if you travel a lot by train or plane and want to quickly respond to emails or watch media.

I dont know....I've owned three iPads over the years (iPad 2, Retina iPad mini, and the previous Air), and I ended up selling every one of them. They just sat around and collected dust as it's easier 99% of the time to just grab my MacBook. I did carry them when I traveled, but my iPhone does just as well.

I tried the Mini for reading eBooks, but quickly went back to my Paperwhite Kindle, which I still use today.

Looking for Apple to make an iPad Air Plus (the large screen Pro is too rich for my use cases). As for uses its really an end of evening device for me, that hits everything from targeted browsing to streaming use and some other things.
