I almost buy this every time this happens. Then I think, 64GB storage isn't enough and $549 is too much for something I don't really need. Maybe one day.

Similarly, I'm torn about replacing my iPad Gen6 32GB. I'm not sure I'd be happy with the smaller screen of the mini, but the specs compared to the iPad Gen9 are impressive. The Gen10, with lower specs than the mini and a significantly higher price tag than the Gen9, doesn't seem to make sense to me.

Add me in here. It’s still about $100 too expensive for what it is. They could make a 128gb base model for $400 and when it goes on sale for $50-100 off, thats when I’d buy. Maybe when gen7 comes out in 2024 I’ll be ready to give up my 64gb gen5 I got for $200 on a sale.

Isn't it interesting that they are only offering the rainbow/pastel colored devices instead of silver, space grey, black, etc.? What a failed experiment the colors have been. I would have bought the 24 iMac if it was available in space grey or black.

I love mine as an e-reader (couldn’t bring myself to buy a Kindle regardless of the rave e-ink reviews) and the fact that it was only $399 at my local Micro Center made my decision easier.

And once I familiarized myself with a few font size adjustments, it’s become good for Safari and other stuff.

iPad mini is fabulous for content consumers who live in cities and rely on transit/bikes/walk as your primary mode of transportation. Nothing beats an iPad that you'll actually take around with you and use. This is a much more reasonable price than what Apple defaults to...
For Reading it cannot beat a kindle in terms of contrast and comfort of reading tho . And the battery on the iPad won't last you weeks

Unless you read colored books and comics ofc (colored e ink is in its infancy)

Besides a 7-8" e reader can be found for much cheaper than that

It's the price the Mini 5 WiFi 64gb used to be

I'm not sure we should give much credit here for an "all time best sale price!" that is simply the MSRP it should have been at to begin with
It's still the lowest price ever for an ipad mini 6 , which, whether you accept it or not , cost more than the 5.

Inflation, apple greediness , make the new "all time low" prices in line with previous pricing (it's the case for most apple products especially in Europe )

What bugs me is that they sell it for 659€ in EU , for a measle 64gb ...

And at that price such terrible jelly scrolling isn't acceptable

For Reading it cannot beat a kindle in terms of contrast
I disagree about contrast, unless we’re talking in sunlight. E-ink contrast is very low, something like 1:10. Much lower than laser printer on white paper as well. It’s the reason e-ink is unusable for me (bad eyesight, I need high contrast) unless I crank up the backlight, in which case I may as well use an LCD.

Almost two years with no releases ... surely a Mini 7 will be released this spring or fall?
