Apple's MagSafe Charger has dropped to $27.14 on Amazon, down from $39.00. This is a new all-time low price on the accessory, and it's also being matched at Walmart.

The MagSafe Charger perfectly aligns with the magnets on the iPhone 12 and upcoming iPhone 13 family of devices and provides wireless charging. It also maintains compatibility with Qi charging, so any iPhone 8 or later device can still use it, as well as AirPods with a Wireless Charging Case and AirPods Pro.

For the 2021 iPhones, the MagSafe Charger will be compatible with the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Head to our full Deals Roundup to get caught up with all of the latest deals and discounts that we've been tracking over the past week.

Wait, so you won’t be able to charge your iphone 11 or 12 pro with this new charger? 🤔

Is MagSafe any different with the new iPhones 13 versus last year’s 12? Weren’t there some rumors that there might be some tweaks, like slightly stronger magnets?

Serious question- why do I need this? How’s it better than traditional charge?
It’s slower so not better in that regard. I have the Anker wireless charging stand so not MagSafe and slower. But it’s fine. Easy when you come home to just set ir down and pick up when needed instead of plugging in. I have this MagSafe charger too but rarely use it.

I had my reservations about it at first but I simply started using it without thinking too hard about it and it just works and works well. I even charge my Samsung (S21 Ultra) phone on it and the magnet sticks to that phone as well. It makes life a bit easier since the Samsung is USB-C and the iPhones are of course lightning.

My launch day 12 mini is at 97% battery health. Not surprising, since I’ve run that poor phone down to 0 a few times. 12 Pro Max is at 100%. That’s pretty consistent with how things were on wired charging, too.

I use cases. I’m not entirely sure MagSafe charging is okay on the finishes. I err on the side of caution for that.

I use an Anker wireless charging stand, too. It works well most of the time with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I recently switched to a MagSafe charger with a metallic charging stand that has an insert for the MagSafe charging puck that I bought on Amazon. With the Anker charging stand, it worked well except for the occasional misalignment which would cause the phone not to charge. With MagSafe, there's no chance (I say that with the caveat that I guess things can always go wrong) that I might stick it on the MagSafe and not have it charging. Also, with the MagSafe and a third party stand, I have the capability to watch things in landscape orientation with the screen kind of "floating" above my nightstand. Aesthetically, I kinda like that!

Anyone know if Apple is releasing new magsafe chargers? I know there is no concrete info, just curious of any rumors out there. Would hate to buy a few of these and have better ones pop up in a couple of weeks.

If you are the type of person that has trouble lining up a Qi charger (ie you are doing it in the dark or something), I'd say this is better in that it finds its place for you due to the magnetism. We have a dual Qi charger stand on our nightstand that cost less than one of these and muscle memory has taught me how to quickly throw it on there, so there is little value in this product for us. My wife has a 12 mini and returned hers after a week of use.

Hi all, is it possible to use the the MagSafe Charger on the thunderbolt port of the macmini m1 instead of the 20W Powersupply?

As long as its is sold and shipped by Amazon they do. If it's a private seller, they will not.
I can confirm they don’t. The other day I had an item on reserve. Went to pick up but before I did, checked if Amazon had it for a lower price and they did.
I asked the employee behind the counter if they priced matched with Amazon and she told me no.

Those are really good numbers for a year of use. My 11 is about 1.5 years old and is 85%. I have never really run it dead, but it sees probably 5 battery cycles a week.

You were mislead or the employee was misinformed. The policy link is below. I have pasted the important portion here for you as well.
