Amazon today introduced $50 discounts on Apple's new M1-enabled 13-inch MacBook Pros, starting at $1,249.99 for the 256GB model, down from $1,299.00. This is one of the first notable discounts on the new 13-inch MacBook Pro, following savings offered by Expercom earlier in the month, which have now mostly sold out.

Secondly, you can get the 512GB MacBook Pro for $1,449.99, down from $1,499.00. Shoppers should note that Amazon is seeing delayed shipping estimates due to the demand for these models. Some begin to ship on November 26, while others showcase a two to four week shipping estimate.

There's also a chance to save on the M1-enabled MacBook Air, but only in one configuration. You can get the 512GB notebook in Gold for $1,199.99, down from $1,249.00. Again, this device has a two to four week shipping estimate, but if you place an order for any of these products today on Amazon you can lock in the price ahead of their shipping dates.

You can find even more discounts on other MacBooks by visiting our Best Deals guide for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. In this guide we track the steepest discounts for the newest MacBook models every week, so be sure to bookmark it and check back often if you're shopping for a new Apple notebook.

Oh man. I kinda just want to get one of these because they sound like fun, but I know I should hold off because the higher level machines are going to be so insane. There is also whole lot of new tech coming out right now, especially with it being a console upgrade year, so I should probably give my wallet a break!

I'm super excited about Apple chips..

But I'm now waiting for a Face-ID model with a better webcam and perhaps optional cellular built in -- plus additional sizes and the ability to run multiple external monitors.

M1-Enabled

What a very odd way of describing the machine! The M1 is the heart, the soul, the lifeblood, the raison d'etre of this machine. And it is described like some minor option that no-one but an expert would ever notice? As if you really could choose exactly the same machine but with M1 disabled.

Last year I got it at 40% off. If I remember correctly last Black Friday they increased the discount in the last days. You should’ve waited a few more days just in case. (I plan to do the same this year)

Still don’t know what I’m gonna do because I know there are better models coming by Spring or summer.
Doesn't it come down to spec creep? You really don't need a 15-HP lawnmower to mow a 1/4 acre lawn. So when the specs and price point meet your needs, go for it.

I have a 16GB 2014 MBP with a graphics card. I do not need 16GB (never use it), and never use the graphics card (I might, but it is obsolete for hardware acceleration for things like handbrake). I use 1 external monitor, not more than that, so it clearly meets my needs. Its always fun to have more, better, shinier, but then if you get a new one by the time you need that stuff, it will be even better.

if that is what you want or need, then you are right to do so. These aren't bad for a first release at the low-end of the price scale. I personally use my Apple Watch to open my Mac, so Face ID is meh (but I love it on my phone!)

When people questioned, what is good of M1 MAC ? Will cost more, not same performance as Intel, etc. but if you deep dive into Apple's M1 strategy, it is to give customers value by offering better price for performance and features as well accelerated price reductions over time. The $50 promo is a start of that strategy.
Apple wants more MAC market share in overall computing business and that is written all over the wall.

I want a larger screen Mac, I am on a 13 inch MacBook Pro 2015. Really would have liked a step up. Apple always does this when I am ready to buy. I'm likely the pull the trigger then upgrade again in 2023, I will give the M1 to my sibling.

It's too bad that all the M1-based Macs in the retail chain (Apple Stores, Best Buy, Amazon) are only 8GB models. 16GB is configure-to-order and long wait.

Sort of short-sighted by Apple to think no one wants to walk into a BB or Apple Store and pick up a 16GB model of a M1 Macbook or Mac Mini.
