Amazon is continuing to discount a collection of Apple's keyboards for the iPad Pro and iPad Air, with the biggest sale centering on the Magic Keyboard for 11-inch iPad Pro at $199.00, down from $299.00. This is the lowest price that we've tracked for this Magic Keyboard, which can also be used with the fourth generation iPad Air.

You can also get the Magic Keyboard for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but this discount isn't quite as steep. It's priced at $329.98, down from $349.00. Both versions of the Magic Keyboard provide a full keyboard with a trackpad, backlit keys, and a new floating cantilever design that lets you adjust the iPad Pro to find the best viewing angle.

This can only mean New iPads. And no back-compatibility? 😳

The Magic Keyboard is a fabulous gadget, but it is too overpriced and still causes a nasty battery drain.

I hope the new generation allow for 1) More positioning angles, 2) Better energy management, 3) Function keys, 4) More device protection.

This continued steep discount makes me believe that the new revision of iPad won’t be compatible with the existing Magic Keyboard for iPad. Either that or a new Magic Keyboard for iPad is coming.

I am tempted when I see big price reductions, but I know I would never use it. I just can't use my iPad as a laptop. I am lucky enough to have a laptop as well. The actual laptop is so much more useful for work. The iPad is so much better for relaxing. I don't want the 2 worlds to collide.

I would agree but Apple is still selling new iPads that are not compatible with the Apple Pencil 2 and require the Apple Pencil 1 sooooo .... nothing surprises me anymore

Still getting some mileage out of the old case design, which doesn't have the flat edges necessary to charge the 2nd generation Pencil.

A few weeks ago I'd have been in the group that chuckles about the price of the Magic Keyboard, but...then I got one and it's an absolute joy to use and was well worth $199. It's one of those accessories that I didn't know I needed until I got it.

We have the 12.9" with the magic keyboard and she loves it. When this first showed up I thought it was for the larger iPad and was about to buy another just so she could leave one on her desk and one in the bedroom. To be fair, her laptop is a 2011 11" air, and she only likes to use it when she absolutely has to.

$300 for a keyboard 😆I am pretty loyal to Apple, but that is why I have a Surface Pro instead of an iPad.
Yeah, it is steep compared to ~$100 for SP. However, SP7's battery life sucks hard.

I bought it at this price two weeks ago, very happy with this. It actually changes how you use your ipad and brings it to another level. The keyboard and gestures make me happy to use it for work 90% of the time (I have a work laptop, for sure).
