Woot today introduced a new flash sale on Apple's MagSafe Charger, available for $29.99, down from $39.00. The MagSafe Charger is in new condition and includes a one year Apple limited warranty.

Woot's sale is about $2 higher than the all-time low price on this accessory, and it's the first time in months that we've seen a notable markdown. If you're an Amazon Prime member, you can get free standard shipping on Woot.

The MagSafe Charger supports magnetic alignment with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 family of devices. Otherwise, it supports regular wireless charging with any Qi-compatible device, including AirPods Pro.

$30 is a good deal, only $10 more than Apple's Lightning cable. My only major wishes with the charger are:
  • The magnet is not as strong as Apple's MagSafe Duo Charger. It's fine for most MagSafe cases, but some of the thicker MagSafe cases require few attempts. To me, this is a dealbreaker.
  • A tad more weight would make it more stable.
And while I love Apple's MagSafe Duo Charger, it too, needs an update:
  • Redesigned to properly align with the larger camera bump on the iPhone 13 series. It works, but it sure looks awkward.
  • Support for Apple Watch fast charging.
  • USB-C instead of Lightning.

Do happen to use a MagSafe case when charging? I'm curious is the Duo charger will leave any markings on my phone case. I've had my eye on it for a bit, but just haven't tried it out yet.

I have a couple of these and they work great—one for work, one in my travel bag. use a real MagSafe at home.

I do use Apple's MagSafe case when charging, sometimes Leather (it looks fine) and sometimes transparent Silicone. Both look fine without any marking.

Just received mine. The cord is SO short. It's 1 meter, and not detachable or changeable; has to be pretty close to an outlet to work on a table. So disappointed.

How long does it take these to fully charge an iPhone (let's say iPhone 13 Pro), or AirPods Pro?
Per Google:

MagSafe charging has taken wireless charging to another state, given the accurate and firm alignment also ensures effective charging. The maximum charging speed is 15W, and this means that it should be able to charge iPhone 13 Pro Max's 4725 mAh battery in two hours and 30 minutes.Jun 5, 2022

So regular Pro should take less. Also Google shows 13PM @ 4352mAh, so most likely even sooner than 2h30m
