Online retailer TigerDirect has slashed pricing on the M1 iPad Air in several colors, offering the base 64GB configuration for just $313.99https://www.tkqlhce.com/click-46264...ls/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1273774&CatId=11944 in Purple and Pink.

That's a savings of 48% compared to Apple's normal $599.00 pricing, and is by far the lowest price we've ever tracked for these current-generation models. Both models are listed as in stock and should ship the next business day.

For those who prefer cellular connectivity, the 64GB M1 iPad Air is similarly discounted to $391.99 from $749.00 in Purple and Pink. The Starlight color option is also listed at this price but described as "available for pre-order" and thus not in stock for immediate shipping. The Starlight model also requires a $9.99 shipping fee, whereas the other colors come with free shipping.

If 64GB isn't enough storage, TigerDirect is also heavily discounting some cellular 256GB models down to $469.99 from $899.00. This pricing is available in Blue, Purple, and Pink, but as with the Starlight 64GB cellular models, these configurations are listed as available for pre-order and will incur a $9.99 shipping fee.

With discounts this steep, we can't rule out the possibility that this is a pricing error and orders could be canceled by TigerDirect, but this is an excellent opportunity for those willing to take a chance on a fantastic deal on the current iPad Air. For those unfamiliar with TigerDirect, it is a longtime computer retailer that was merged with MacMall and which also absorbed online assets and operations of notable now-defunct brick-and-mortar retailers Circuit City and CompUSA.

Only one 256 GB color was in stock. Reviews from other websites don’t look very good. Lots of people getting told out of stock and then they still charge credit card and hold your money.

I’ll pass this time

I’ve been wanting an iPad Mini for a long while now for reading books and articles.

This is cheaper than that, and I can connect it to a monitor for the extra M1/M2 iPad features.

Just wondering if 11 inches is light enough annd easy to handle with just one hand. My hand is average size.

I’m surprised the pricing is still up. Maybe they are just looking to clear inventory of colors that weren’t selling.

TD is not the first place I think of to buy any products, let alone Apple.
yep, always use paypal as check out, i used to buy from TD back in 2014 since they were like newegg, however they are an entire different entity now.

Was just at the Best Buy in Southfield, MI. I tried to PM and pick one up these up today since TigerDirect is listed on Best Buy's price match guarantee page.

Manager Mike refused the PM and stating the reason as Tiger Direct has been hacked. I asked him if he knew that for sure since that is big and serious news to spread. He would not tell me how they know, but was willing to say it has been confirmed by Best Buy senior management.

I used PayPal and my order status is sent to the warehouse for processing. I’m not holding my breath but we’ll see. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤞
