Price drops are always appreciated, but the base price wasn't the problem with this machine, it's the insane upgrade pricing.
It's so crazy to me. Because it's a good price for what it is. Would provide a lot of flexibility for a lot of use cases.
But the lack of the ability to add storage on it just drives me mad. Because there is no engineering reason for it.
Believe you me Apple knows how much the average disk space everyone uses built into their computers.
They may not know what is on that ssd but they know what space is used up you can count upon that.
I agree that a 256GB speedy SSD is a great starter for these things. But they don't know my needs. Everything looks great about this. But no ability to change out something as dead-simple routine as an M2 SSD is like a baseball bat right into the spokes.
