New deals out today include low prices on Apple's 9.7-inch iPad and Smart Battery Case for the iPhone XS, as well as one of the first major discounts we've seen on the new Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Amazon. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

Powerbeats Pro

Amazon has introduced a discount on the Powerbeats Pro, which you can purchase for $199.95, down from $249.95 ($50 off). This 20 percent off sale on Apple's new wireless headphones is one of the first notable discounts for the Powerbeats Pro that we've tracked online.

The retailer has every color on sale, so you can get the Powerbeats Pro in Black, Ivory, Moss, or Navy at the new discounted price of $199.95. These models are shipped and sold by Amazon and are brand new, and you can opt to include AppleCare+ for headphones at $29.00 to your order.

Additionally, Apple itself has marked down the Powerbeats Pro to $199.95 on its website.

2018 9.7-Inch iPad

Amazon has Apple's previous generation 32GB cellular 9.7-inch iPad from 2018 at the low price of $349.00, down from $459.00. At $110 off, this matches the lowest price we previously tracked for this model across the major Apple resellers online.

Only the Gold color is on sale at this price. If you're looking for a little more storage, Amazon also has the 128GB cellular model of this iPad at $449.00, down from $559.00 ($110 off). All three colors are available on sale for the 128GB model.

iPhone XS Smart Battery Case

To round out the Amazon deals kicking off the week, the retailer also has Apple's Smart Battery Case for the iPhone XS and XS Max at $102.00, down from $129.00 ($27 off). The iPhone XS version is only on sale in Black, while the iPhone XS Max version is on sale in both Black and White colorways.

While we've seen slightly lower prices on the iPhone XS Max Smart Battery Case, today's deal matches previous low prices on the accessory for the iPhone XS model. The Smart Battery Case for the iPhone XR has not been discounted this week on Amazon.

Head to our full Deals Roundup to stay updated on all of the latest Apple-related sales and offers.

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer but is it prudent to *assume* the PB Pro price drop from APPL is indicative of a new gen or .......

I just purchased the Powerbeats Pro last week from amazon at full price. Anyone know their willingness to do a price adjustment?

I find the call quality better on the AirPods than the beats, 199 should’ve been their original retail price to begin with, they are better than AirPods in a lot of ways but not 100 bucks better

you’ll need to submit for a return and buy the new ones at the reduced price. Amazon has pretty much stopped with its price match policy, even if you try to reason with them that a price match on their own products is cheaper than returning and repurchasing.

Well that's quite surprising - even if the SNR and distortion were the same (and I would have hoped the Beats were better) you'd reckon the "perceived" quality would be better because of the external sound isolation. I wonder if it's a BlueTooth reception thing in your case.

I think from my observation, no where near scientific, is that the protruding tip from the AirPod capture my voice better than the next to the ear mic on the beats, couple folks told me they can hear me better on the AirPods than the beats

That’s what I was afraid of. Thank you for your response

Ah - I wasn't considering the quality of the microphone pickup. Thanks. I wonder if any other people have the same observation? That being said, if you're just listening to music would you say the Beats are better?

If just music yeh the beats are definitely better, not as good as say Sony mmx3 or something but its better than AirPods, hell I think any good wireless is better than AirPods, but I prefer the AirPods due to its size and easy to put on, the beats case is like a giant puck that I struggle to put in my pocket and takes a sec longer to put on

Agreed as I bought mine in Apr/May when intro'd, hence my question re. the discounted price from APPL.
Maybe Apple woke to the fact that $250 is ridiculously expensive for earbuds, and now that we're 6 months into the product cycle they're discounting in prep for a new release next Spring?

Wild guess (no sarcasm)

They don’t Price Match. Are you a Prime member? The reason I ask, is that they seem to go well over and beyond for their Prime members versus a non-Prime member, meaning the most they probably would do for you, is issue a partial credit to your account. (But it really depends on who you talk to you and the nature of the product ordered.)

Amazon Issued me a credit before for a Leatherman multi tool I purchased in the past, I called to see if they can make any ‘adjustments’, and although they didn’t price match, they issued me a ‘courtesy credit.’

Could be but when I bought mine @ roll out they weren't easy to find for an extended period after that.

In my former retail mind it just seems odd that AAPL has already reduced them after just introducing the new colors & way before the holiday season, perhaps I'm just over thinking this?

Far easier to buy a new one and return the new one with the old purchase.
Their system is not designed with price adjustment in mind.
Had to do that multiple times with the very same product over the course of 3 months where it kept dropping...

It is a bit strange. Also, they’ve been on sale for this amount on and off since earlier this year (I don’t think at Apple though). A quick web search will reveal this.
