Really? Curious how well it transcodes/streams 50-100Mbps 4K files. That's the primary concern I have with a stand-alone.

8Gb RAM standard is truly ludicrous. Apple would sell a lot more if they made 16Gb Models and not just BTO.

it’s playing a 4k 71.4 Mbps file to my 4k apple tv without any issues

I still use my 2006 mini for plex. It can even stream 4k video to my Apple TV. I did replace the OS with Ubuntu so I could run the newest version of Plex.

No, still on Catalina, the latest security update did mess up Google Earth Pro though and maybe others. Any downside to upgrade to Monterey ?
