If the 4 came down to $200 I still wouldn’t buy it while my series 1 is still supported and working with a decent battery. My son has the 4 and although it is way faster, brighter, water resistant, bigger, and has more watch faces, the 1 does everything I need and more. Siri is also still too slow on the 4 :/

Series 1 doesn’t support cellular. I know you said it works for what you need and I respect that. The cellular aspect makes things very convenient. When you do upgrade, you should consider it. Last time I used it extensively was at a water park. Could communicate with the wife, without having to carry my phone.

I’ll upgrade from my Series 2 when the 4 gets discounted by $125-150, hopefully that will happen during the holidays. I rather get this discount on a 4 than pay full price for the 5, which I’m sure will only have new features I don’t need.

I only need my watch to be faster, recent WatchOS updates have made my 2 feel very sluggish.

Going from the 2 to the 4, I can tell you the difference is significant and worthwhile.

The minute I can sync with an ipad or mac and ditch the iphone I’ll upgrade. I hate carrying the phone around.
