Despite the other comments (and their charging my card), I’m not convinced this is a legitimate company. I created multiple accounts trying to log in. Despite repeated attempts to reset my password, I’ve yet been able to log in. They also don’t answer the phone or even accept messages (it looks like there isn’t a message service, despite their suggesting you use it.) Aside from an invoice for my purchase, I’ve gotten zero updates, messages or replies.
I’m hoping I didn’t just piss away $3,000, but there’s no way for me to validate or check my order. Legitimate companies don’t operate this way. I’m now sorry I listened to the MacForum article. I should have known not to order from anyone besides Apple or Amazon (who’s an authorized Apple reseller).
As a data point, in case others ordered and are waiting...
Ordered from Expercom on the day of announcement (2.3Ghz/32GB/5500M 8GB/1 TB) and just received an "order processed" email on 11.20 (they had not previously charged my card). The email simply indicated that the order will be shipped shortly.
Crossing my fingers because this was my first time ordering other than from Apple directly. It was hard to resist the almost $450 discount (no sales tax for FL helped) in my instance though.
Given what they are quoting for lead time, I really wasn't expecting to receive it this week or next, but who knows. I assume the card charge is some sort of positive sign.
I ordered the same day with the same config except the 2.4GHz processor and am still waiting. I called yesterday and they said expect it to ship the 25th / 26th.
Thanks for the info on anticipated shipping. Did you get the "order processed" email?
Since they're ordering them directly from Apple, the ship times should be similar to any other Apple product. While fast, they are coming from China, after all. But they charge your card when they first contract with Apple to build it, not when Apple ships the final product. The time from when they charged my card and they told it was 'on it's way' was a few days.As a data point, in case others ordered and are waiting...

Just FYI that my order did actually ship same day as the "shipped" email from Expercom and arrives Friday. Very impressed thus far.
Please let us know how it arrives tomorrow. Whether well-packaged, no major screen blemishes (stuck pixels or excessive backlight bleed), etc. Thanks!
Okay, reporting back as requested. My MBP was delivered today and in the box that I'm typically used to receiving, i.e. a cardboard box with a couple side supports holding the actual product packaging within. The MBP was of course in its original shrink wrapped box. No signs of damage to the outer or inner box.
Screen looks great and I have no complaints. Perfectly happy with my purchase.
Now migrating is going to be an altogether different experience. My mid-2010 17" must be jealous because it just hangs when setting up for migrating. So now I'm going to try to do a Time Capsule backup to an external HDD, and migrate from there. That will take forever to create. I use Carbon Copy Cloner for back ups but read that it is not a good idea for migrating.
Anyway, based on my experience at least, completely recommend Expercom.
