13-Inch M1 MacBook Air

Starting with the 2020 M1 13-inch MacBook Air, you'll find the 256GB notebook for $899.00 at Amazon and $899.99 at Best Buy, down from $999.00. Amazon stock has dwindled and will "ship soon," but Best Buy has plenty of stock in all three colors.

Additionally, both retailers have the 512GB M1 MacBook Air at $1,099.99, down from $1,249.00. While this is a record low price on the 512GB notebook, the 256GB model's discount is a second-best price.

Trying to clear out inventory? Perhaps Apple made too many. I think people are likely waiting for the M1X Macbook Pros and M1X Mac Mini, instead of the 13" M1 Macbook Pro.

Not true. You don't include deals from Costco and they currently have the same price on the MacBook Pro. Last month they had (and still have today) the lowest price ever on the HomePod mini and you didn't include that in your deals guide.

Just because you don't get referral revenue from a retailer doesn't mean you shouldn't be transparent about where the lowest prices really are.

Two USB-C ports on MacBook Pro is just terrible. Can’t plug too many stuff into it, even if I am not charging the MacBook Pro. Definitely going to wait for 14” MBP.

Been very close to getting a new macbook air m1 but its way to close to showcase of next generation so gonna wait.

Not forced to swap right now.

Thanks for pointing this out, though I can’t blame MacRumors for wanting those affiliate dollars. Costco does have an affiliate program, but it’s dreadful.

Yeah... probably clearing out the M1's. Who would have thought to consider that an M1 MacBook doesn't natively support multiple displays.

why not? that's literally the reason for the site's existence. you didn't think it was an altruistic venture intended to provide useful information to the world, did you?

Don't buy a M1, take my word for it (yeah, I own one). Let the software developers catch up. I was naive to get on the first wagon that drove by... I jumped on like an eager little school boy. Now I'm sitting here in my skivvies and I don't know where I am. I'm cold and I'm scared.

If you sign up for Best Buy student deals you can get the Air for $799. It was $750 a few days ago, but still a good deal for $50 more.

I would rather get a Acer Spin 713 Chromebook it is almost half the price of a MacBook, it has Linux underneath and you can get to terminal mode, like the Mac OS and I can run Microsoft Office 365 on it.

Now I love my Mac computers and I still use a Mac for my desktop. This little guy has i5 8gb of ram, Thunderbolt 4, Gorilla Glass and it is a touch screen and I can make it into a tablet if I want and I have a micro SSD slot to add more storage if I get low on internal storage. I love my Mac's but this little laptop has a lot to offer to go around for a laptop on the go.

I'm hoping this means that the new models will be out in September. Or at least announced. I still am expecting them in November and the Mini in 2022. I will just keep using my 2015 until the M1X stuff comes out as I want the bigger screen.

Easy there tiger. MR is pretty good about disclosures like this. Pumping out articles day after day isn't as easy as it looks. Someone may not have known about this, forgot, or they might not be counting membership only deals that aren't open to the general public.

It's a record low, although the record was set by Costco months ago when the 512 MB was the same price as in this post. 😂
