This week Target has a $100 discount on Apple's 128GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 4, with the caveat of no online shipping available. If you have a local Target with stock on the 7.9-inch iPad, however, you can get the latest iPad mini for $299.99, down from $399.99 in Space Gray, Silver, and Gold.

If you want some accessories to go with your iPad mini 4, Target has also discounted two first party Apple accessories. There's the iPad mini 4 Smart Cover with discounts between 10 and 40 percent, and the iPad mini 4 Silicone Case with discounts between 10 and 50 percent. The savings depend on your choice of color, and some models do have shipping options. When paired together, the accessories provide full front and back protection to the iPad mini 4.

For those interested in the iPhone 8, Sprint has a $350 discount on Apple's latest iPhone, with a few stipulations. You'll have to trade in an eligible smartphone towards the new iPhone 8, as well as sign up for the Sprint Flex leasing program. If you do, Sprint will mark monthly installments down to $9.72/month for the 64GB model, with an initial payment of $0. The 256GB model requires $150 down but retains the $9.72/month price.

Additionally, the 64GB iPhone 8 Plus is available for $0 today and $13.89/month installments, and the 256GB Plus model requires $150 when purchased and $13.89/month afterwards. All savings appear after a $19.45/month bill credit is applied to your account. iPhone models eligible for trade-in include: iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus. Visit Sprint's deals page here for more information.

There are even more discounts to discover in our Deals Roundup, today including savings on the Philips Hue White Ambiance Smart Bulb Starter Kit, an Insignia USB wall outlet, and a combination USB 3.0 and Lightning flash drive. Also be sure to check out our giveaway post this week, where you have a chance to win some MagicGrips for your Magic Mouse, made by Elevation Lab.

And apparently Target forgot to order iPad mini 4s they just put on sale...I checked 6 zip codes around the country and no store within 100 miles of those zip codes had any of the "so called" $100 off devices. It's easy to mark something way down when you have none to sell. Nice try Target.

Since they are limiting the sale to in store stock, this is more likely a "clearance sale" rather than a temporary discount.

I had to replace my son's iPad earlier this week. Didn't really want a iPad Air for him (he likes the smaller size) so I was very happy to walk into this deal. He's flabbergasted that he could give 50+ movies (SD) on his iPad now if we wanted.

Yeah, there's probably a good chance the iPad mini 4 will be discontinued after the holidays, definitely by next summer. I really wish there would be a replacement, maybe with an A11, 3D Touch, FaceID, ARKit support, etc.

I just got an ad in the mail from Sprint asking for me back for $0 down iPhone 8 payment. Unfortunately, Sprint is horrible in my area, and from the looks of it horrible a lot of other places.

We have an iPad mini 4 for the house iPad for controlling Homekit device and as a remote control / web tablet.

It's painfully slow to the point of not using it after iOS 11 update. We are an iPhone 8 + iPad Pro house hold as our personal devices and the iPad hasn't seen any action in weeks since we updated it.

Apple really needs to update it or kill it entirely. I feel bad for any consumer who walks out of an apple store with one.

I've kept my iPad mini 4 on 10.3.3 and I'm not sure if I'll upgrade to 11 based on what I'm reading. It works great now.

+1, i have a 7plus and mini4 and only updated the ipad.... as expected lots of bugs and laggy. New features are interesting for sure but you can feel the minis lack of horsepower almost immediately after the update.

I missed out on the deal for the pro 10.5 so at this point will probably wait to see if anything changes in the next update

That’s why you go somewhere like Best Buy, that has plenty of stock and is happy to price match. Upgraded my dad’s aging OG mini to the Mini 4 and he’s happier than a pig in iOS feces.

Or you can just order it online and have it shipped to you directly. I just checked out of curiosity, and they have plenty of stock online despite what the article above says.

I did the same and my mini 4 is as fast as ever. Likely will not install iOS 11 on it. If you keep older hardware on older software it remains fast. I have an iPhone 4s on iOS 6 and it is just as fast as my iPhone 6s on ios 11.

Went in to my local Target and found that they ran out minutes before I got there. Proceeded over to Best Buy just up the road and they price matched Target no problem. $299.99 for a 128GB Mini 4 isn’t too bad. Be more compelling if it had the A9 like the 5th gen iPad though. But the 2GB RAM should keep it running alright for a while even if the CPU is rather dated.

Is your 6s running okay on 11.0.3? I still have my 6s on 10.3.3. I'm worried about lag. In the past, I sometimes had issues with delayed input when typing after a major iOS update (7.0, 8.0).

My 6s is far smoother since iOS 11, but battery life seems slightly worse - anecdotally.

Yeah, my 6S is running perfectly fine on 11.0.3. Haven’t noticed any lag at all and just as fast as iOS 10. The 6s is one of those iPhones that will last a while. I’d totally recommend the upgrade to iOS 11.
