Careful with eBay. I bought one there from a seller that had 100% feedback rating and it turned out to be stolen. I got one from Swappa instead and so far so good.

That's your own fault really, since did you really think Woot has the capability to actually refurbish a camera lens, or anything else of that matter?

They buy their crap from wholesale "repackagers of used stuff", sell them and hopefully nobody complains.

Only truly refurbished items I would consider is ones refurbished & sold by the manufacturer itself - As I have with Apple products on many occasions, and never got burned.

I was sharing a shady experience I had with this seller, mate.

By the way, I never said a thing about thinking Woot themselves had refurbished a lens. That was something you made up.

I’ve only heard of ‘Woot’ through this website, but I can tell you this, the amount of negativity surrounding this company says ‘run away as fast as you can’. Just a quick glance at user reviews on Google indicates that they struggle with their reputation, so that equals to me a ‘hard pass’.

Actually I picked up a 2018 256GB 11” Pro with Cellular off Woot for 700 bucks back in November. The thing showed up looking factory mint without a single hint of use, and the battery came back 99%. It’s been rock solid since the day I got it.
That said I have heard some horror stories, and had the discount not been so attractive I wouldn’t have taken the chance. This particular sale is not an attractive one as Apple should be listing these phones in its official refurbished store for the same price if not less in another month or so. might as well wait and get a quality product with 1 year factory warranty, frankly.
