Woot's newest refurbished sale has a collection of older iPhone models at a discounted price. This includes the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, and iPhone 5s. The iPhone 5 and 5c were included in the sale, but have already sold out.

Specifically, prices start at $39.99 for the 16GB iPhone 5s, and rise to $129.99 for the 16GB iPhone 6s Plus. There are multiple storage options and colors for each iPhone, and all models are refurbished.

Woot has inspected all of its refurbished iPhones, and they are expected to have moderate levels of wear and tear, including scratches dents, and dings. Otherwise, they will be in full working condition and batteries are tested to work at minimum 85 percent capacity.

In a separate sale, Woot is offering a brand new iPhone XS Max for as low as $699.99 (64GB, Space Gray). The retailer also has 256GB and 512GB models on sale, and all models are fully unlocked.

Be sure to check out the full Woot sale before it ends later tonight. If you're shopping for more iPhone discounts, we track all of the best deals that carriers are offering in our dedicated iPhone Deals guide.

Picked up a 5S for $40. Great music player and back-up iPhone. Seems fair and appreciate knowing of this availability with or without any connection MacRumors may have. On a side note: Anyone know what the 5 and the 5C were selling for?

For me, getting a 5s would still be an upgrade! My 4S still works great - I've replaced the back panel and battery, and it's major function - a cooking timer - still works perfectly!

Ah, I never dealt with Woot but that explains the first responders post a bit, thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, the "refurbished" part is very misleading.
For those of us that are used to Apple's refurbished stuffs, we are in for a big surprise from Woot.
Their "refurbished" are sometimes straight up beat-up crap...
It is like drawing lottery......

Here's a secret, but don't tell anyone: they also work as phones for adults

yes, some adults have hands so small they are the size of children's hands.

Woot refurbished means they are wiped down with a handi wipe and placed in a BRAND NEW bag.

Is the 5s even getting security updates at this point? If not, MacRumors shouldn't be pushing this. JMHO.

12.4.7 just got pushed to iPhone 5s as of yesterday so Ios security updates are still supported on these phones. Still great little phones for backup devices or for people that don’t use it much more than a phone/web browsing device.

That’s impressive. Do you use the 4S for much of anything other than timer, phone calls and maybe text messages? It has to be an incredibly slow. At almost 9 years old, impressive it still works!

It's a decent sale on used iPhones. Prices are better than swappa, but swappa phones are probably better. It was one of the few places that was selling the 128gb SE, which is quite hard to find except on eBay.

The 5c was selling for $29. Didn’t check the 5. Probably similar pricing.

Yes, it still does calls, uses 3G I think. Messages, works fine but without the latest Emojis. Notes, Photos, Camera etc. all work fine! Memory is a bit limited, but it's just about enough for the odd photo now and again. Never had it in a case, and it looks mint! I replaced the back panel with one from another 4S that had a smashed front panel, as it was a bit too scratched for my liking. Pondered getting a clear glass back so you can see the innards but that would probably cost more than the phone is worth. Relative speed? No idea - got no other phone to compare it with! My wife has a much newer model, but I never touch it, so couldn't say. It did have a iOS Security Update recently, so it's ticking along with 9.3.6!
I do have a new iPad though, so I'm not a complete Luddite!

Very cool that you are keeping it useful! So many people simply abandon their perfectly functional tech for the latest and greatest for no other reason other than to say they have the latest and greatest!

Good show!

Does it genuinely work great?

I ditched my 4S for a 6S. By that time the 4S was unusable. I kept it as a music player for another couple of years and that was painful.

But my 6S really is going strong after 4 years. Two batteries and one screen later.

A quick Google search proves that woot is horrible. The devices look like they were used as frisbees and kickballs.

Makes me want to keep my 2016 SE for as long as this happens for that model. Apple is fantastic for this. I don't want to buy an Android anything anymore and I had 6 Android phones and 2 tablets.

Ok, so my iPhone5S arrived and I can't get my AT&T SIM to work even though it was advertised as an AT&T locked iPhone. Oh well, lesson learned. At least it only cost me $40. to learn it.
