Woot is back this week with a big sale on a wide variety of refurbished Apple products, ranging from the iMac to the iPad mini. Sale prices start at $79.99 for the first generation iPad mini, and you can also find a few other iPad mini models, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and more.

This includes the 16GB iPad mini 4 at $199.99, or the 16GB iPad mini 2 at $109.99. Both iPads are estimated to arrive between April 21 and 27, with free shipping for Amazon Prime members.

There are a good number of MacBooks on sale as well, dating back to models from around 2012 and some more recent. You can get the 2012 13-inch MacBook Air with 128GB for $359.99, or opt for more storage at 256GB for $389.99. You'll find the same shipping estimates and free shipping for Prime members on MacBooks as well.

For the iMac, Woot is pricing the 2013 27-inch iMac with a 1TB hard drive and 16GB RAM at $799.99. Woot has numerous other iMacs, iPads, and MacBooks on sale, and a few of them have already sold out at the time of writing, so be sure to visit the sale soon.

All of the items in Woot's Apple sale today are previously-used devices that have been refurbished to working condition. Woot says that many of its refurbished products relate to "buyer's remorse" returns and discontinued items, and customers can expect a 90 day warranty to come with many of the products sold on Woot.

I'm really surprised they're selling some of these. The 2011 MacBook Pro laptops can only run up to High Sierra (from two years ago), and the 1st-gen iPad Mini can only run up to iOS 9 (from four years ago). Fine if you really need something with an Apple logo on it, I guess, but they're going to have compatibility issues.

I have a limited, but good experience with Woot. I purchased a refurbished 2017 MacBook from them while I was abroad in Italy -- no issues with that order. Ordered a refurbished Ring 2 video doorbell last year -- no issues. Recently ordered a refurbished 2019 13" MacBook Pro to replace my MacBook -- I'm not expecting any issues with this order either.

If they have any 2015 MBPs, I would get one as a compatibility machine. Don’t want to lose my Adobe CS6.

Just selling the "brand" to the unsuspecting & not informed people.

Screw them after they find out the limitations.

I wouldn't buy a piece of tech this old, but that's just me. My oldest Apple products still in service are a 2012 Mac mini i5 with 8 GB of RAM and a 1.12 TB Fusion drive, which recently became a home-theater server, and a 2012 Mac mini i7 with 16 GB of RAM and a 2.12 TB Fusion drive, which is my wife's primary computer. The latter is fine for the basic things she does, but it recently has been experiencing WiFi issues, and Catalina presumably is the last version of macOS that it will support.

As for Woot, my only experience with them was taking advantage of their one-day sale a couple weeks ago for a refurbished Orbi AC2200 router with two satellites. It was $175, versus $350 new everywhere else I checked. It arrived three days after I ordered it. Setup was a breeze, and it works great, so I haven't had to deal with their customer service.

I saw this earlier and was surprised at the price..then saw the products listed and was surprised there is still an audience for these.

Agreed. No wonder these old 17 models command 600+ eur/USD on ebay (I myself have been wanting to get one, just for fun), while even the 2011 15" models are FAR cheaper...

I would not recommend buying any Apple device unless you're pretty sure it will receive at least a couple of updates. Of course it's a different story if you have some vital 32 bit apps or legacy software.

This is such a joke. Don't buy from this company, their service is terrible. And a first generation iPad Mini? That has an A5 chipset, the one found in the 2011 iPhone 4S. It maxes out at iOS 9, has a terrible screen, and performance issues make it unusable. Save your money.

Until when, not if, the GPU goes out.
